Minecraft client not connecting? A troubleshooting checklist

When your IdleMine client cannot join your server, check its status and latest log message first. This checklist helps you choose the right fix without repeatedly resetting your Microsoft sign-in.

IdleMine is free for everyone until further notice. Create an instance with /create in Discord, then use this checklist if it does not connect. Connect only where the server's rules allow your use. $3/month pricing is planned for 2027; there is no automatic paid subscription.

1. Check status and collect the error

Instances start automatically after setup. Complete Microsoft sign-in if prompted, then run /status and /logs in Discord. Use /start to reconnect an instance you have stopped. If a start request was accepted but the client is still starting, allow it time to report its connection. Use /panel for live logs and start or stop controls.

Look at the newest message after your connection attempt. A sign-in error points to authorization; an address or connection error points to the target server. Keep the exact error for support, but remove private panel links, sign-in codes and account credentials before sharing it.

2. Verify the server address and Minecraft version

Compare the saved address with the connection details supplied by the server operator. Use a hostname or hostname with a port, not a website URL. Check for typing errors and extra spaces.

If the saved target is wrong, use /changeserver to update it. This stops the current connection; use /start when ready. A version mismatch needs a version compatible with the target server. Ask support if your configured version needs updating.

3. Resolve Microsoft sign-in errors

Complete any pending private Microsoft sign-in request. If logs explicitly report expired or invalid authorization, use /reauth and complete the new sign-in. This command removes the existing stored authorization, so use it when a new sign-in is needed.

Sign in with the intended account and check that it can join the server. Never send a password or sign-in code to support. Server connection failures alone do not mean your Microsoft authorization is broken.

4. Check whether the account is already online

Disconnect your local game or another remote client using the same account before starting IdleMine. If the server reports an already-online conflict, wait for the previous session to disappear before trying again. Avoid repeatedly starting two clients with the same account.

5. Check server access and availability

A server may be offline, full, running a queue, or limited to whitelisted accounts. It may also reject clients under its own policies. Check the server operator's current connection instructions and rules. Changing authentication will not resolve a whitelist or server policy restriction.

6. Send support the details needed to help

If the host is reported offline or the problem continues, contact IdleMine support with the server address, the approximate time of your attempt, the result of /status and the relevant error text. Include what you have already checked so the next step is clear.
